You are indeed missing the Red Lens upgrade. If you want a hint, check the room where you got the Climbing Gloves carefully, there may be an alternative route :)

This game is super impressive, a perfect level of difficulty for non-sweaty gamers like me to have a good challenge and a good exercise for those who are platform gamer pros. The art is amazing, the red & blue blocks against the monochromatic environment really helps emphasize the mechanic. I love the atmosphere overall. This is a game you can tell it's developers really cared about the game.
